FAQs

What is the difference between VRLA (Gel or AGM) batteries and traditional wet or flooded batteries?

Standard wet batteries contain liquid electrolytes that can spill and cause corrosion if tipped or punctured. Therefore, they require more care and maintenance. That is why we install them “upright.”  AGM or Gel batteries do not have any liquid to spill, so they are more resistant and require no maintenance. On top of that, they last longer and have greater backup time compared to normal batteries but they also cost more so make your choice accordingly.
