How to check the Volta battery manufacturing date?

Apart from the sticker on the battery box, the manufacturing date is also written as a tricky code on the warranty card and the battery itself. To decode it you need to replace any alphabet with its number equivalent, for example, A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, E=5, F=6, G=7, H=8, I=9, and J=0.

So if the code is AFX9H2 145 the manufacturing date will be August 09, 2022. We will ignore the AFX and 145 in this code, 9 is the date, H is the eighth month of August, and 2 is the last digit of the year so 2022. Also please match all three dates (on the box, on the warranty card, and engraved on the battery top) to ensure that the battery is in its original box and has not been tampered with.

How to check Volta battery level?

Volta Tubular Batteries have red float indicators for you to check and see if the water/electrolyte level is low. Volta Gel batteries do not need to be refilled ever so you don’t need to check them and the standard batteries can be checked by traditional methods.
